- The Bissell SpinWave Hard Floor Mop is an electric mop that uses two counter-rotating microfiber pads to clean hard floors.
- The pads are powered by a motor, which spins them at up to 300 RPM.
- This allows the pads to scrub your floors effectively without you having to do any scrubbing yourself.
- The mop also comes with an on-demand sprayer, which allows you to dispense just the right amount of cleaning solution onto your floors.
- This helps to prevent over-wetting your floors, which can lead to streaking.
- The Bissell SpinWave Hard Floor Mop is safe to use on all sealed hard floors, including tile, laminate, vinyl, and hardwood.
Bissell SpinWave Hard Floor Mop Review
Pros:
- Easy to use
- Dual spinning mop heads
- Effective at cleaning hard floors
- No scrubbing required
- On-demand sprayer prevents over-wetting
- Safe for all sealed hard floors
- Comes with several different pad combinations and 2 special cleaning solution formulas: sanitizer and hardwood floors
Cons:
- A few people have reported the scrubbers work well to break up the dirt, but they still had to do a traditional mop job after to clean the floor
- Mop heads scrub but don’t clean all that well
- Unit is too light to put proper pressure for a deep scrub cleaning, it mostly buffs and polishes your floor surface
- Not as effective as a traditional mop and bucket for deep cleaning
- Some have said it’s not powerful at all
- Screws may come off that hold the mop pads in place after a few uses, and you may have to screw them back in
- Unit can be loud and annoying to pets
Overall, the Bissell SpinWave Hard Floor Mop is a just okay option for cleaning your floors. Sadly, it sounds like it’s only one part of a greater approach to mopping and cleaning your floor, but if you have the patience and the time, it might be a useful addition for you. Still, I probably would not buy it myself for the reasons above.
That’s why I’d probably go with the Black+Decker steam mop instead. It’s half the price so you can be pleasantly surprised and have your expectations exceeded, not disappointed that you shelled out $100 for something that left you kinda “meh.” Plus it seems to be more of a total solution in itself.
